I. Advancing the Cause

Very shortly after the Hoblajs began fostering, Marina assumed the presidency of the Foster Families Association, rapidly advancing from local to national leadership. Her new leadership role established a powerful platform for the Christian ministry to champion the needs of children in foster care across the country.

II. Wide-Ranging Public Engagement

Marina and Vlado effectively engaged the public through a wide array of activities designed to raise awareness and support:

  • Organizing charity concerts and running public campaigns.
  • Setting up stands at fairs, hosting Christmas gifting events, and running summer camps.
  • Securing significant media exposure and conducting conferences and workshops.

III. Moments of National Influence

The ministry’s influence reached the highest levels of Croatian society, providing powerful validation and expanding their reach:

  • Parliamentary Impact: One of their foster sons, Mladen, was given the powerful opportunity to speak in the national parliament.
  • Presidential Support: The credibility and importance of their work were affirmed when the Croatian president herself sponsored some of their activities.
