Vlado’s relentless search for life’s purpose culminated in a challenging question: why was he granted life without his consent? This thought eventually led him and Marina to the idea of adoption—a path where they could offer parenthood to the fatherless. This compelling vision was profoundly strengthened the moment Vlado and Marina encountered Jesus Christ as their ultimate answer. Vlado’s original wonder about the fairness of being born without a choice was dramatically answered by Jesus: through the love demonstrated on the cross.
As they grew in this new revelation, adoption became an increasingly exciting idea, fueled by the realization that all who receive Christ are likewise adopted by the heavenly Father.
In the years that followed, their home became a vibrant, tangible testimony to this glorious truth: Barbara, Ivana, Nenad, Nicolina, Elizabeth, and Emma became their children. Drawing inspiration from their journey and refining their parenting skills through HOPE FOR LIFE’s diverse counseling programs, they discerned a fresh calling. This call materialized dramatically in 2009 when their family business collapsed.
They recognized that the Lord was orchestrating everything for a higher purpose, releasing them from a dead-end job to serve for eternal benefit. It was not long before their home was filled with children who desperately needed it—more than 30 children so far have found refuge and support in their care.
